Dog Friendly

pooch-rules-iowa-arboretum

Hey there! We’re happy to have your furry friend join us on our grounds and trails as long as they’re on a leash and well-behaved. Dogs on leashes are allowed in the Visitor Center lobby only (not in the gift shop, bathrooms, or reception room). However, please note that service dogs are allowed in public spaces in the Visitor Center.

According to the ADA guidelines, service dogs are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. So, if your pup is just there for comfort or emotional support, they won’t qualify as a service animal. Thanks for your understanding!

We are excited for you and your best buddy to come and take advantage of our walking trails here at the Iowa Arboretum & Gardens!
