Since 1968, the Iowa Arboretum & Gardens has grown as a stand-alone nonprofit public garden with the help of people and businesses like yours. You can help the Arboretum continue to grow as an educational, recreational, and cultural resource to all that visit.

The Iowa Arboretum & Gardens
The Iowa Arboretum & Gardens is a nonprofit organization. Designed gardens, open planted trees, and native woodland trails are open to the public by admission fee or membership. A gift shop is located in the Hughes Education Center. We are located between Boone and Madrid in rural Boone County and are easily accessible by paved roads. The address is 1875 Peach Avenue, Madrid.
Open Hours are:
Weekdays: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Weekends: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (April – October)

Volunteer
Join our team of dedicated volunteers who share their skills, grow their knowledge, and demonstrate their abilities at the Arboretum. Volunteer opportunities include maintaining gardens, helping host special events, providing information to our guests in the gift shop, and more. Volunteers make a difference!
