SPRING FEVER SYMPOSIUM GOES VIRTUAL AGAIN FOR 2022
Please join us on Tuesday, April 5, at 7 p.m. for Ellen Ecker Ogden’s presentation.
Amid the ongoing uncertainties of the status of COVID, we are once again holding our Spring Fever Symposium 2022 as a Zoom lecture. Interest in both ornamental gardening and growing our own food has skyrocketed among young and old alike as we stay close to home. If you’ve wondered how to make your kitchen gardens both productive and ornamental, this year’s speaker, Ellen Ecker Ogden, has some answers. Ellen’s topic will be The Art of Growing Food. As she describes her talk: “In this lecture, you will learn my six steps to successful kitchen garden design to open all of your senses both in the garden and in the kitchen. Learn how to design and grow a garden that is both beautiful and bountiful, what to grow for the best flavor, and how to add personal style that will turn “work” into “play”.” Ellen originally studied as an artist, adding cooking classes in Venice after graduation. She co-founded the Cook’s Garden which sold heirloom seeds. Ellen lives in Vermont and is the author of six books on garden design and cooking.
