Wetland Tree Grove

Tree specimens included in this particular collection have the ability to tolerate saturated and/or poorly drained soil for long periods of time. While many of the specimens are native to Iowa such as Swamp White and Bur Oaks (Quercus bicolor and Querucs macrocarpa), three Dutch Elm resistant American Elm cultivars are also planted here. The most notable specimen of the collection is our ‘Tristis’ White Willow.
