The Arboretum experienced a derecho storm on August 10th that also impacted most of the Midwest. Winds gusting over 130 miles per hour whipped through the Arboretum and caused damage to over 200 trees on the main campus. Over 133 specimen trees have to be removed from the grounds. The arboretum is now closed as the staff and volunteers start the long and arduous job of cleaning up and restoring the grounds and woodland trails.
Thank you for supporting the cleanup effort. Every donation counts as we work towards replanting the Arboretum.
