2014 Make My Non-Profit Run Better $10,000 Winner

The Iowa Arboretum was selected as $10,000 winner of 2014 Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest

DES MOINES, Iowa (Aug. 22) – After more than 58,000 online votes were cast, the Iowa Arboretum was announced as the $10,000 winner of the 9th annual Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest.

Officials from Premier, a leading provider of copiers, printers, networks, managed print services and pure drinking water systems, announced on WOI-TV this morning that the Iowa Arboretum will receive the $10,000 prize toward office technology.

“It is a great day for the Iowa Arboretum,” said Mark Schneider, executive director. “We are delighted about winning new technology and having the opportunity to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of daily operations.”

The Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest was established by RK Dixon nine years ago to give non-profits a chance to win free office equipment and technology solutions to help them run better.

RK Dixon and Premier representatives will visit the 15 prize winners in the upcoming weeks to assess technological needs, and install equipment to fulfill each organization’s office and technology needs. For a full list of winners, please visit www.MMNPRB.com.

“This contest is really exciting for us. It is such an amazing way to give back to local non-profits and thank them for what they do,” said Bryan Dixon, president and CEO of RK Dixon. “The organizations involved and the public really stepped up in promoting the contest to generate online votes. The most fulfilling part of this contest though, is how these makeovers allow non-profits to improve their day-to-day functions, run more efficiently and better serve those who use their services.”
